Liberty Christian Wins Playoff Opener

Chris Buckels pitched a three-hitter as Liberty Christian High School defeated Sherman Indian, 3-1, Friday in the first round of the Small Schools baseball playoffs at TeWinkle Park in Costa Mesa.
Buckels (9-1) struck out 14 and walked four.
