IN BRIEF : Jockey Navedo ‘Guarded’ After Fall

CHERRY HILL, N.J. — Jockey Edwin Navedo was listed in guarded condition this morning at Kennedy Memorial Hospital after his horse fell in the 10th race at Garden State Park Thursday night.
Navedo, 35, suffered a head injury when his horse, Moon’s Crown, fell after being interfered with by another horse as the field of nine approached the final turn. Sunswick Jove won the race. Closed For Repair finished second but was disqualified and placed last for interfering with Moon’s Crown. Brewster Gallery moved up to second and Clever Oak was awarded third.
