Kernen Plans Tribute to Senior Players

Juniors and seniors from this year’s Cal State Northridge baseball team will not be around in 1991 when the program begins play at the Division I level, but the part they played in helping build the program will not be forgotten.
CSUN Coach Bill Kernen said that players’ names will be inscribed on the wall of each dressing stall in the Northridge clubhouse as a means of remembering each class.
“The seniors this year are always going to be part of the cornerstone team of building a Division I team,” Kernen said. “That’s why names will go up in the lockers. Each year, new players will know who wore the uniform before they did.”
