Hall, Bernardi Will Debate in Sylmar
The fourth debate between the candidates in the runoff election to represent the northeast San Fernando Valley in the Los Angeles City Council is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sylmar High School.
Councilman Ernani Bernardi and challenger Lyle Hall will meet at Spartan Hall, 13050 Borden Ave., in Sylmar. The forum is sponsored by the Sylmar Civic Assn. and the League of Women Voters.
Issues likely to be discussed are development, planning, zoning, police and fire protection, traffic, gangs and sewers. Members of the audience may ask questions.
Because Bernardi failed to gain a majority vote in the April 11 primary, he was forced into a runoff with Hall. The election will be held June 6.
