Fullerton to Meet Pomona in NCAA Softball Playoffs

Cal State Fullerton, the fourth-ranked softball team in the nation, will play host to Cal Poly Pomona starting Friday at 7 p.m. in a best-of-three series in the first round of the National Collegiate Athletic Assn. playoffs.
The series continues Saturday at 1 p.m. and a game will take place afterward if needed.
The winner of the series advances to the College World Series starting May 26 in Sunnyvale, Calif. Fullerton (47-17) and eighth-ranked Pomona (40-21), both members of the Big West Conference, split four meetings this season.
