Robin Romeo Bowls to Washington Win

WASHINGTON — Robin Romeo of Van Nuys upset top-seeded Lisa Wagner of Palmetto, Fla., 211-209, Wednesday night to win her third title of the year in the $35,000 Ladies Pro Bowlers Tour Fair Lanes Capitol tournament.
Romeo, 32, won the $7,000 first prize with a strike on her final ball in the 10th frame after Wagner failed to get a second strike in her 10th frame.
Romeo advanced to the title match with a 55-40 two-frame rolloff win over Nikki Gianulias of Vallejo, Calif., after they had tied at 212-212.
