Big First Inning Helps Cal Lutheran Beat UCI
Cal Lutheran scored eight runs in the first inning en route to an 8-5 victory over UC Irvine in a nonconference baseball game Wednesday at UC Irvine.
James Kocins (0-1) started for Irvine, but lasted only five batters, giving up three walks and two doubles. Albert Rodriguez had three hits, scored a run and had an RBI for Irvine (17-32-1). Craig Anderson (4-2) pitched five innings for the victory for Cal Lutheran (30-15).
