More than $10,000 in jewelry was discovered stolen Tuesday from the Encino home of veteran television anchorman Jerry Dunphy, police said.
Dunphy, for 14 years the anchor at KABC-TV, discovered the theft when he and his wife and their 4-year-old daughter returned Tuesday to their Meadowgate Road residence from a 12-day vacation, authorities said. It was not known when the burglary occurred, said Los Angeles Police Capt. Gordon Harrison.
No suspects have been identified, Harrison said.
Dunphy, 67, is attempting to sell the five-bedroom, 4,500-square-foot house for $925,000, said Jim Pascucci, a real estate agent who is handling Dunphy’s purchase of a $2-million home off Mulholland Drive in Encino.
