Three Pasadena Playhouse alumni will get applause from their peers when the Pasadena Playhouse Alumni & Associates stage their 36th annual brunch and awards ceremony May 7 at the Pasadena Hilton. Werner Klemperer, whose roles have ranged from Col. Klink on “Hogan’s Heroes” to his recently Tony-nominated performance in a Broadway revival of “Cabaret,” will receive the Gilmor Brown award for “an enduring career that reflects the ideals as exemplified . . . by the founder of the Playhouse.” Jeanne Cooper of “The Young and the Restless” will be named woman of the year, and impresario Jack Bunch is the man of the year.
