Entertainment and community leaders Lew and Edie Wasserman have completed a $5-million pledge to the Motion Picture and Television Fund’s $50-million Capital Campaign. The campaign was started in 1985 with the goal of doubling the capacity of the Motion Picture health care/retirement facilities in Woodland Hills. To date, nearly $35 million has been raised. Wasserman, chairman/chief executive officer of MCA Inc., and his wife previously also established a $1 million endowment for perpetual maintenance and care of the grounds of the Woodland Hills campus.
