Christopher B. Forgy has been appointed senior vice president, marketing, sales and programming, for Times Mirror Cable Television, Irvine. He succeeds Lawrence M. Higby, who previously was named president of The Times Orange County Edition. Forgy joined Times Mirror Cable in 1984 as vice president and general manager of its Las Vegas system. In 1986, he became vice president of field marketing and sales development for the company, and in 1987 he was appointed vice president of national marketing and programming. Times Mirror Cable owns and operates 45 systems in 14 states.
