Local News in Brief : Simi Valley Girl Killed in Car Crash at School
A Simi Valley teen-ager was killed when the car in which she was riding crashed into a concrete wall on the Simi Valley High School campus, authorities said Sunday.
The victim, Laura Khoury, 16, died after the car spun out of control, struck the wall and turned over on the passenger side about 8:30 p.m. Saturday night.
The car’s driver, Michael Marsh, 19, was arrested on charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol, a Simi Valley police spokesman said.
Marsh was not injured in the crash. He was being held on $10,000 bail Sunday at Ventura County Jail.
