The Philadelphia Flyers traded two first-round 1989 draft choices to the Toronto Maple Leafs for goalie Ken Wregget, who has been benched with mononucleosis since Jan. 30.
Wregget will be at practice this morning, when team officials will decide whether he will dress for tonight’s game against the Edmonton Oilers, Flyer spokesman Rodger Gottlieb said.
The five-year NHL veteran started for the Maple Leafs for the last two seasons before splitting time with Allan Bester this year.
Wregget will be the Flyers’ No. 2 goalie behind Ron Hextall.
