Rites Scheduled for John Howard, Burbank Attorney
Funeral services for John A. (Jack) Howard, a prominent Burbank attorney and the husband of Burbank Councilwoman Mary Lou Howard, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Robert Bellermine Catholic Church in Burbank.
A rosary will be recited at the church today at 7:30 p.m.
Authorities said Howard, 53, apparently committed suicide Saturday at a remote campground just outside Santa Clarita.
A lifelong Burbank resident, Howard was a personal-injury attorney who gave up a political career after losing a bid for Congress in 1966. Mary Lou Howard was elected to the Burbank City Council in 1979 and is serving her third term.
He is also survived by his four children; Jacqueline Lee, 33; Richard Joseph, 29; John Allen Jr., 25 and Brett Allen, 19,
The church is at 133 N. Fifth St. in Burbank.
