IN BRIEF : Mark Duper Charged With Speeding
ECHO, La. — Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mark Duper was arrested early today driving his sports car 101 m.p.h. in a 55-m.p.h. zone, authorities said.
Duper, 30, was released on bond from Avoyelles Parish Jail, said a deputy who would not identify herself or say how much the bond was.
The three-time Pro Bowl selection returned home to Louisiana after being suspended from the NFL three games before the end of the season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
No drugs were found in Duper’s 1988 Porsche, which was stopped about 1:10 a.m. today on Louisiana 1 about 10 miles south of the town of Echo, a state police spokesman said. Duper was booked on charges of speeding and reckless driving.
