Glass Towers Will ‘Talk’ to Each Other
A glass skin, now being installed on the $45-million La Jolla Centre II office building, will help the 10-story structure at 9255 Towne Centre Drive, San Diego, “talk†to its neighboring twin.
While the deep-blue glass is primarily designed to reflect the sun and mirror the surrounding scenery, it will also be used to assist in a nightly laser light show that will give the appearance of two buildings communicating with each other.
The developers are Oliver McMillan and Radnor Corp., both of San Diego.
