Dominguez 64, Cypress 36--Dijon Bernard scored 20 points for visiting Dominguez (21-4). Cypress stayed close in the first half, trailing, 27-20, but had trouble offensively in the second half. Cypress scored just 16 points in the half, eight in each quarter. Dominguez, the top-seeded team in the 4-A, scored 15 points in the third quarter and led, 42-28.
Mark Johnson scored 14 points and had eight rebounds to lead Cypress (12-14). Johnson was the only player in double figures for Cypress, the second-place team from the Empire League.
