Big West Roundup : Fresno State Stuns Santa Barbara, 61-59

Kevin Stevenson hit a 19-footer with one second left in overtime that gave Fresno State a 61-59 upset victory over UC Santa Barbara Thursday night in a Big West Conference game at Fresno.
Stevenson scored 18 points for the Bulldogs (12-10, 8-7), who had a 28-25 halftime lead.
Mike Doyle had 19 points for the Gauchos (17-5, 8-5).
Nevada Las Vegas 95, San Jose State 66--David Butler scored 20 points and Barry Young added a career-high 19 as the 18th-ranked Rebels handed the Spartans their 12th consecutive defeat in a game at San Jose.
UNLV (17-6 overall, 11-2 in the Big West) was sluggish early but used a 16-2 burst late in the first half to break open a close game after San Jose State (5-8, 1-13) stayed within 23-20 in the first 15 minutes.
UNLV, taking advantage of 15 turnovers by the Spartans in the first half, went on to a 49-29 lead at halftime on a basket by Moses Scurry at the buzzer. The Rebels stretched their lead to 90-56 in the closing minutes.
Johnny Johnson, star tailback turned starting forward when 10 San Jose players quit the team on Jan. 18, had career-highs with 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Spartans, who are just two defeats away from the school record for consecutive losses.
James Jones added a career-high 16 points and seven rebounds for Las Vegas.
