Viejo Bancorp, the holding company for Mission Viejo National Bank, posted 1988 net income of $1.6 million, more than triple the $503,000 earned the previous year. Revenue grew 25% to $12.6 million last year from $10.1 million the previous year. For the fourth quarter, the company earned $512,000, contrasted with a $490,000 loss in the last quarter of 1987. Quarterly revenue nearly tripled to $3.8 million from $1.3 million in 1987. The company’s assets were $80.9 million at the end of December, a 27% increase over $63.7 million a year earlier. The bank’s total deposits rose 26% to $74.1 million at the end of the year from $58.7 million a year earlier, while total loans grew 67% to $61.2 million from $36.7 million a year earlier.
