An earthquake shook most of Utah and parts of western Colorado and Wyoming, rattling homes and knocking objects off walls, but no major damage or injuries were reported, authorities said. The quake was centered about 140 miles south of Salt Lake City, near the central Utah community of Salina, and had a magnitude of 5.4, said Russ Needham, a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Earthquake Information Service in Golden, Colo. “It was pretty strong. It was knocking stuff off the walls,†said Utah Highway Patrol dispatcher Marty Estrada in Price, about 70 miles southwest of the epicenter.
