Right-handed reliever Mark Clear, traded by the Angels 8 years ago and released by the Milwaukee Brewers last October, signed a 1-year contract with the Angels.
Clear, 32, had a 1-0 record and a 2.79 earned-run average in 25 games with the Brewers last season. He struck out 26 batters in 29 innings and limited opposing batters to a .215 batting average.
