Local News in Brief : Placentia : Condominium Fire Victim Identified
A woman killed in a Placentia condominium fire was identified Tuesday by Orange County Fire Department officials as Brigitta Jiaconelli, 30.
Jiaconelli was trapped on the second floor of her condominium by a fire that broke out on the ground floor Sunday night and apparently died of smoke inhalation, County Fire Department Capt. Hank Raymond said.
The fire broke out about 10:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Prospect Avenue inside the four-unit complex, Raymond said. Thirty-five firefighters brought the fire under control in 16 minutes.
Cause of the blaze remains under investigation, fire officials said.
