Four Killed When They Fall Into Ice-Covered Lake

NORTH BANGOR, Pa. — A woman and three children who fell into an ice-covered lake Sunday died after at least 30 minutes exposure to the frigid water, authorities said.
Killed were Carolee Strunk, 28, and her children April Strunk, 9, and Jared Strunk, 5. Also killed was family friend Sarah Bowers, 8.
The four fell through the ice about 150 yards from shore and eventually were pulled out, along with an unidentified fisherman who fell in going to their assistance. The fisherman was treated at a hospital and released.
