Defending World Cup champion Michela Figini led the Swiss to three of the top four places in a World Cup downhill race at Grindelwald, Switzerland.
Figini, 22, was timed in 1 minute 55.82 seconds for 3,062 meters, the longest women’s downhill on the circuit this season. Half a second behind was Swiss teammate Beatrice Gafner. Carole Merle of France was third, and Maria Walliser of Switzerland was fourth.
