LOS ANGELES COUNTY - News from Jan. 10, 1989

Unocal, Los Angeles, has named Stephen C. Lipman, 49, president of the company’s geothermal division, effective Feb. 1. He previously was executive vice president-domestic operations. Lipman replaces Carel Otte, 66, who has led Unocal’s geothermal activities since their inception. Otte will continue as a senior adviser until he retires later this year.
