Former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin was arrested and interrogated by Zairian authorities after arriving from Nigeria with a phony passport, officials in Kinshasa said. The portly ex-ruler, blamed for the deaths of 250,000 Ugandans during his eight-year reign of terror, was taken into custody along with one of his sons, the officials said. They added that he likely will be deported today to Saudi Arabia, where he settled in exile after fleeing Uganda in 1979. The trip, his first known travel abroad since that time, was believed to be an embarrassment to the government of Zairian President Mobuto Sese Seko.
