Mater Dei Holds Lead in Poll

Mater Dei High School remains the top-ranked team in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. prep basketball poll after two victories last week.

Mater Dei (10-1) will begin play in the Orange Holiday tournament tonight in Chapman College’s Hutton Sports Center along with second-ranked Fountain Valley, fourth-ranked Saddleback, seventh-ranked Capistrano Valley and ninth-ranked Kennedy.
