Local News in Brief : New Library Program Geared to Seniors
New cassettes, videotapes and books with large type geared to aging residents will become available at 10 branches of the Los Angeles Public Library through a $50,000 federal grant, city library officials have announced.
Under the program, titled “Growing Older: Planning, Living, Loving It,†materials will be available on themes including nutrition, exercise and money management.
Branches participating in the program are Arroyo Seco, Exposition Park, North Hollywood, Goldwyn Hollywood, West Los Angeles, Eagle Rock, Canoga Park, Fairfax, Robertson and San Pedro.
