IN BRIEF : Harness Driver Sandy Levy, 36, Dies

CHERRY HILL, N.J. — Harness racing driver and trainer Sandy Levy has died of apparently natural causes at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital. He was 36.
Levy became ill in the stable area at Garden State Park about 7:30 a.m. Thursday and was taken to the hospital, according to a statement released by the race track.
The statement said Levy appeared to die of natural causes.
A hospital spokeswoman said the Camden County coroner has accepted the case. A coroner’s office spokeswoman could offer no comment about the death.
Levy of Westbury, N.Y., and his wife, Tracy, had eight horses at Garden State Park. He drove in 47 races during the current meet and had one winner.
