Waves Face Marshall in West Virginia
Pepperdine’s basketball team, 6-3 after winning 2 of 3 games at home, will play Marshall at 4:30 p.m. PST today at Huntington, W. Va.
Marshall, defending Southern Conference champion, raised its record to 3-3 by routing Charleston, 122-84, Monday night. In 5 games, Marshall has been led by sophomore guards John Taft, averaging 28.6 points a game, and A. P. Williamson, averaging 18.6.
Last season the Waves defeated Marshall, 99-90, at Malibu.
Pepperdine is coming off a 96-91 victory over Northeastern. The Waves will face Connecticut (5-1), last season’s National Invitation Tournament champion, Friday at the Hartford Civic Center.
