In a saner world, the proper fate for RJR Nabisco, the shameless producers of cigarettes and junk food, would not be a $24.5-billion buyout but a public boycott, ignominious failure and bankruptcy. How do the men who battled so long and cunningly to line their pockets from this humongous dispenser of such products as Camels and Oreos look at themselves in the mirror each morning?
