Autry Museum

Whether you say it “Hurrah” or “Hooray,” we all owe one to Gene Autry and all those other wonderful people who have brought us the Gene Autry Western Heritage Museum. This beautiful new museum near the Los Angeles Zoo is really a sparkling gem in Los Angeles’ crown. A visit there is just like going back to being an 8-year-old boy playing cowboys and Indians with your brothers.
Cowboys inevitably remind us of our youth, both personal and national. The wisdom demonstrated by this group of people, in their careful preservation of our heritage, will give many generations of 8-year-old cowboys a grand place to play. Thanks, Gene.
