Mariners Hire Aust as PR Director
SEATTLE — David Aust, a 1981 graduate of the USC who has worked for the Dodgers, the Kings and the Lazers, has been named director of public relations for the Seattle Mariners.
Aust, 29, for the past four years, was assitant director of public relations for the San Francisco Giants.
The Mariners also announced they have hired Pete Vanderwarker, who has been working for the team as an intern, as an assistant in their publicity department. They said they will retain Ethan Kelly as a publicity assistant.
Kelly served as interim publicity director of the Mariners during the 1988 season. He replaced Bob Porter after the season began.
