Patrol Employees Win Pay Ruling
Associated Press
RENO — Two Nevada Highway Patrol employees who claimed they were underpaid have won raises in a court decision that could affect the entire patrol and all 11,000 state employees.
Washoe District Judge Jerry Carr Whitehead said Friday that while his decision involved only two people, “it is possible that it may affect other employees . . . of the state of Nevada as well.â€
Whitehead ruled that the defendants’ salaries should be adjusted to reflect prevailing rates in a 1986 wage survey.
