Cookie Monsters?

Director-producer Tony Bill (“My Bodyguard,” “Five Corners”), who’s said that he’d never get into mega-budget, “hardware” filmmaking, is changing his tune. Later this month, he’ll begin shooting a $1 million, two-minute futuristic Nabisco spot to air at year’s end--possibly during a football bowl game and the Rose Parade.
“It’s fun to do things you thought you’d never do,” said Bill, who’s helmed several other recent commercials, from Budweiser to Dukakis.
The Nabisco epic will feature spaceships, aliens, special effects and almost no dialogue. But: “It’s not about machines, it’s about people.”
Bill called it “more of a corporate spot that just says Nabisco,” with only one product briefly glimpsed--an Oreo cookie.
