Dan Quayle Bashing
I wish to correct a headline: “Scorn of Quayle Builds Not Despite GOP Victory” but because of it. Before the election Quayle’s vice presidency was only a chilling possibility. Now we have to live with it. All I can say, with wry dissatisfaction, is that we tried to warn those of you in the misguided 54%. Now you must take responsibility for your poor choice. We can only hope Bush lives through 1992 so that we don’t have to endure the consequences of Bush’s poor choice.
