Local News in Brief : Artist from Hawthorne Honored
Sergio R. Gonzalez, a graphics artist at Northrop’s Aircraft Division in Hawthorne, has been honored by the U.S. Department of Commerce for a poster he designed in observance of Minority Enterprise Development Week Oct. 2-8.
About 600,000 copies of Gonzalez’s poster were distributed nationwide to honor the accomplishments of the nation’s 800,000 minority business owners. Gonzalez is a resident of Hawthorne.
