Astronaut Bobko to Retire

WASHINGTON — Veteran astronaut Karol J. Bobko is retiring from NASA and from the Air Force on Jan. 1, the space agency has announced. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration said Bobko, 51, was leaving government service to join a space contractor company in Houston.
