Administrators at Sacramento’s Rio Americano High School have pulled the latest edition of the student newspaper because of a front-page article that likened the “humiliation†of homecoming to the pain of Jesus on the cross. Vice Principal Marilyn Pino said the article, titled “Is Homecoming God’s Way of Making Us Pay for Our Sins?†was sensational, falsely portrayed student drunkenness and was otherwise negative.
