Escondido
A bicyclist struck by a car along an Escondido street has died of his injuries, authorities reported Sunday.
Alberto Rojas-Alorso, 21, of Escondido was riding his bike through the intersection of Del Dios Road and 11th Avenue Wednesday when the accident occurred.
Deputy Coroner Chuck Bolton said Rojas-Alorso was rushed by paramedics to Palomar Memorial Hospital, where he lingered for three days before dying of multiple injuries at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
