Pasadena 20, Hoover 11--Tailback Bobby Webster rushed 20 times for 203 yards and scored 2 touchdowns as visiting Pasadena (6-2, 3-0) won its third consecutive league game.
Webster ran 39 yards for the first of Pasadena’s 2 touchdowns in the opening period. Webster took a pitch 35 yards for the Bulldogs’ final score with 3:17 to play.
Hoover quarterback Steve Solano completed 7 of 18 for 104 yards and threw an interception. He also rushed 6 times for 48 yards and a touchdown. Solano’s 1-yard keeper cut Hoover’s deficit to 14-11 with 10:08 left.
Mike Rotondi had 5 catches for 75 yards for Hoover (1-6-1, 0-3).
