I was under the impression that our elected representatives’ duty is to decide what’s good for us and pass laws accordingly. Instead, it is now up to us to plow through a maze of propositions and innumerable pages of arguments to make a choice. Not only are most of these propositions unclear and fuzzy, but quite a few are so contradictory that voting for one cancels out another one.
Would it not be time to use the initiative process a little more sparingly, as it was originally intended?
