PBS Enterprises and Interactive Game Network announced an agreement to carry interactive television control signals nationwide. The Menlo Park, Calif., firm’s patented ITV technology lets television viewers participate while watching programs on any TV channel by entering responses into a hand-held terminal that receives radio signals synchronized with the program they are watching. PBS Enterprises of Alexandria, Va., is the for-profit subsidiary of the Public Broadcasting Service. David B. Lockton, IGN president and chief executive and the developer of its technology, said, “The public television network is the largest in the United States and the only one which can carry our information to virtually every TV home.”
