3 Quakes Rattle Tehachapis

Three small earthquakes rattled the Tehachapi Mountains about 75 miles northwest of Los Angeles early today but no damage or injuries were reported, authorities said.
The largest quake occurred 11 miles north-northeast of Gorman at 6:44 a.m. and was recorded at magnitude 4.1, said Robert Finn, spokesman for the Caltech in Pasadena. It was preceded by a smaller quake at 3:51 a.m. and followed by a lesser temblor at 7:04 a.m. Magnitudes of the smaller quakes were unavailable.
