5 S. Africa Miners Killed

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa — Five miners were killed in an underground “hoisting accident” at the Rustenburg platinum mine, the Johannesburg Consolidated Investment Company said Tuesday. It gave no other details on the Monday accident at Rustenburg, the world’s biggest platinum mine, 90 miles north of Johannesburg.
