James H. Frey, 50, has been named president of Litton’s Itek Optical Systems division in Lexington, Mass. The division, a unit of Litton’s Electronic Warfare Systems Group, develops and produces high-performance telescopes, cameras and optical systems. Frey joined Litton, which has headquarters in Beverly Hills, after serving as general manager-spacecraft operations for the astro-space division of General Electric.
