The United States wants to review the mysterious deaths of 22 British defense experts and determine if any had worked on the U.S. Strategic Defense Initiative (“Star Wars”), the Sunday Times of London said. “It has got to the point where we can’t ignore it any more,” the newspaper quoted an unidentified U.S. Defense Department spokesman as saying in Washington. The Sunday Times said the Pentagon will ask Britain this week for the case histories of 22 Britons--computer scientists, engineers and academics--who have died in unusual circumstances since 1982.
