Luther Medical Products Inc., Tustin, reported a loss of $1.1 million for the year ended June 30, nearly identical to the loss a year earlier. Sales, however, nearly tripled to $1.8 million from $640,964. For the fourth quarter, the company posted a net loss of $502,226, compared to a loss of $674,202 the previous year. Sales increased 27% to $449,336 from $353,797 in the previous year’s fourth quarter. The company said its sales rose due to the company’s new contract with Johnson & Johnson for its Stickless Catheter inserter, the acquisition of Neuro Diagnostics Co. and continued sales of the company’s intravenous catheters.
