Earthquake Rattles Alaska

PALMER, Alaska — An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale rattled dishes and shook light fixtures across Alaska’s most populated area, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage, officials said. The temblor Thursday was centered 50 miles west of Anchorage.
