Oldest Law Firm to Open L.A. Branch

Marking its entry on the West Coast, what is claimed to be the nation’s oldest law firm--Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft of New York, established in 1792--has signed a five-year lease, valued at $1.2 million, for 12,995 square feet for a branch office at California Plaza, 300 S. Grand Ave.
The firm expects to occupy the space during the first part of November, according to Theodore J. Slaught of the Charles Dunn Co., who represented the lessee. The lessor, Grand Avenue Associates Ltd., represented itself.
